Matthew P. Gordon joined Pavese Law Firm in 2017. Mr. Gordon primarily focuses his practice in the areas of real estate development; commercial and residential transactions; condominium and homeowners’ associations; and business law.
Prior to joining Pavese, Mr. Gordon worked as in-house counsel for WCI Communities, Inc., one of the nation’s largest publicly traded home builders, and at a large, statewide law firm where he handled a variety of legal matters.
Mr. Gordon’s experience includes representing developers and builders in residential and commercial real estate transactions including acquisition, development, and leasing at all stages, from the due diligence phase and financing to the development, construction, and management of ongoing project operations. His experience also includes advising clients on business contracts, corporate governance, and operational agreements.
In addition, Mr. Gordon counsels community associations on matters including interpretation of governing documents, covenant enforcement, amendments to governing documents, contracts, and compliance with statutory and documentary guidelines.
Mr. Gordon obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida with honors, graduating No. 1 in his class. He went on to obtain his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While attending law school, Mr. Gordon served on the editorial board for the University of Miami International and Comparative Law Review. Mr. Gordon also went on to obtain his Master of Laws in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.
