Chené M. Thompson – Partner
Chené Thompson joined Pavese Law Firm in 2013, and became a Partner in the Firm in 2015. Ms. Thompson focuses primarily on litigation related to Land Use, Zoning, Condominium / Homeowners Association Law and Real Estate matters.
Ms. Thompson brings many years of experience as a litigator in Southwest Florida. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Thompson was a Prosecutor with the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution, where she successfully prosecuted cases ranging from traditional “white collar” crimes involving fraud and money laundering, to large scale narcotics trafficking. In 2008, Ms. Thompson was named by the Attorney General as one of the top prosecutors in the state for her successful prosecution of organized crime and her partnership with local law enforcement. She also worked as an Assistant State Attorney under State Attorneys Joe D’Alessandro and Stephen B. Russell.
Ms. Thompson received her undergraduate degree from Nova Southeastern University and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami, School of Law. During law school she was selected to represent Miami in the International Moot Court Jessup Competition, wrote for the school’s newspaper, and volunteered in the Coral Gables community.
Ms. Thompson is a member of The Florida Bar and the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In her personal time, she enjoys horseback riding, drag racing and volunteering in the community. She is honored to currently serve on the Board of AMI Kids of Southwest Florida, Inc., the Edison Pageant of Light, and as the Chair of the Florida Bar Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee, 20th Judicial Circuit. Ms. Thompson is also an active member of the Fort Myers Woman’s Community Club, Lee County Bar Association, the National Association of Realtors® Local Board Attorneys’ Council, and supporter of the PACE Center for Girls.
