Erin Casey joined Pavese Law Firm in 2022 as an associate attorney in Fort Myers. Her practice area focuses on civil litigation. Ms. Casey brings over 20 years of combined criminal and civil litigation experience, including trial and arbitration, to the firm.
Ms. Casey focuses primarily on civil and business litigation related to condominium and homeowners’ associations, real estate, and environmental law, including writ proceedings. Among other trials, she has assisted with representing a homeowners’ association regarding the interpretation of HOA documents. Additionally, Ms. Casey has represented a condominium association in an arbitration before the American Arbitration Association.
Before joining Pavese Law, Ms. Casey practiced criminal defense for 13 years as an Assistant Public Defender, advocating for clients charged with varying crimes, from misdemeanor offenses to punishable-by-life felonies. She has extensive courtroom ability, handling over 50 trials and numerous evidentiary hearings during her tenure.
Previously, Ms. Casey practiced law in the Tampa area in various civil litigation matters, such as nursing home defense, insurance defense, and administrative law.
Ms. Casey attended Mount Holyoke College, majoring in politics with a minor in computer science. While attending law school, she won an internal competition, earning her a seat to represent her school at the American Bar Association Regional Negotiation Competition. She graduated with pro bono honors from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University.
Originally from Central Florida, Ms. Casey enjoys spending time with her two boys, husband, and cats. Her hobbies include cycling and ice skating.
