Conduct online research and navigate state and county websites.
Process correspondence, file openings/closings, and perform conflict checks.
Support daily operations with general administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1.5 years of legal assistant experience in civil litigation and community association law preferred.
Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

Responsibilities:

Deliver and pick up documents at the courthouse, post office, and other local offices.
Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
Keep kitchen, conference rooms, and common areas neat and fully stocked.
File and scan documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls to the right person.
Routinely ordering supplies.
Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks as needed.
Tidy up the outdoor area.

Experience and Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite — Word, Excel, Outlook).
A proactive attitude with strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and stay focused in a busy office setting.
A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to pitch in whenever needed.

  • Strong listening, comprehension, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and others.
  • Experience with case management software; Aderant Total Office preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
