Stephen Dwyer is an associate attorney at Pavese Law Firm in Fort Myers, Florida, where he focuses his practice on real estate and construction litigation. He represents developers, builders, associations, business owners, contractors, and homeowners in a wide range of disputes, including construction defect, landlord-tenant, and contract disputes. A trial lawyer at heart, Mr. Dwyer routinely handles court proceedings and takes pride in advocating zealously for his clients in the courtroom.
Mr. Dwyer’s practice spans both plaintiff and defense representation, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the real-world dynamics that drive construction and property disputes. His interest in real estate law began long before his legal career. He grew up working in his family’s real estate rental and asset management business, where he gained hands-on experience in property management, residential leasing, construction, and maintenance–providing him with a practical perspective that he brings to every case he handles.
Mr. Dwyer earned his bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics from Utica College and his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law. During law school, he served in numerous leadership roles, including Student Body Senator, Chair of the Republican National Lawyers Association, and Vice President of Internal Competitions for the Moot Court Board. He also contributed as an editor for The Gavel, the Moot Court Board’s journal, where he authored two published articles.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Dwyer remains deeply involved in his community. He serves as President of the Utica University Alumni Council, is an Associate of the Calusa Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and is a member of the Lee County Republican Executive Committee, where he routinely hosts seminars on elections and Robert’s Rules of Order. His participation in these organizations reflects his commitment to leadership, professional excellence, and community engagement across Southwest Florida.
