Gov. DeSantis Extends Florida’s COVID-19 “State of Emergency” Order
Governor DeSantis signed Executive Order 21-94 on April 27, 2021 which extends the COVID-19 State of Emergency because COVID-19 continues to pose a threat to the health, safety and welfare of the state. The extension is for an additional 60 days which allows permit and development orders deadlines to be extended as well. Many in the building and development industry are experiencing delays in application reviews at the front end, and supply chain disruptions and challenges during the construction process.
